Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 January 2024, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Muzaffar Madrakhimov held a meeting with the head of the Regional Office of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Central Asia Ashita Mittal.

The parties reviewed the current state and prospects for the development of further cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UNODC. They discussed joint measures to enhance collaboration aimed at fighting against drug trafficking, organized crime, human trafficking, international terrorism, and corruption.

The schedule of joint events for 2024 was also on the agenda of the meeting.
