Denis Istomin reaches first final of his career

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan’s top tennis player Denis Istomin reached the final of Pilot Pen Tournament, which is taking place in New Haven, USA. This will be the first ATP final for Istomin in his career.

In semifinal match, Denis Istomin faced the world number 45 Viktor Troicki from Serbia. Denis Istomin claimed victory over Serb in three sets - 7:6 (12:10), 1:6 and 6:2.

The match lasted two hours and 10 minutes. Both players recorded eight sets during the match. Troicki made four double faults, while Istomin did not make mistake.

In final, Denis Istomin will play against ninth seeded Sergei Stakhovsky of Ukraine.
