Demonstration of Uzbek culture and national dishes at the festival in Islamabad

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Islamabad took part in the traditional Festival of National Dishes and Culture, organized by the Women’s Association under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Dunyo reported.

The event was attended by members of the government and parliament of Pakistan, representatives of the diplomatic corps, as well as activists of the Uzbek diaspora.

A demonstration of national dishes was organized in the pavilion of Uzbekistan, the corner was also decorated with the coat of arms and the flag of our country, photo banners of great Uzbek thinkers and historical figures, as well as illustrations of the sights of the cities of Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, which created a wide picture of Uzbekistan, its spiritual, cultural and historical values.

The organizers of the event, representatives of expert and analytical and business circles, the diplomatic corps noted the high organization of the pavilion of Uzbekistan.

The pavilion was visited by the spouse of the President of Pakistan S. Alvi, who spoke positively about the cultural and historical heritage of our country. According to her, she has Uzbek outfits from adras, ikat, suzane in her personal collection and is an admirer of the culture of our people.

Alvi also said that the painting with the image of Registan donated during a visit to the Uzbek pavilion will decorate her residence along with other products from Uzbekistan.

The participants of the event had the opportunity to get acquainted with information about the architectural monuments of historical cities of Uzbekistan, Uzbek cuisine, detailed information about which was also presented in the form of handouts.
