The visit was organized to develop relations between twin cities, discuss perspectives of cooperation, as well as exchange experience between administration of Tashkent and Shanghai.

During the visit, the Uzbek delegation visited administration of Shanghai city and met with Deputy Mayor Shen Jun. The sides exchanged information on development of cities, planning of municipal economy, development of infrastructure, housing and communal services and accomplishment of cities.

The delegation also held meeting at the Department of planting and accomplishment of Shanghai city. The sides discussed issues of mutual interest, including planting trees and plants, processing domestic garbage.

The Uzbek delegation visited the Federation of Industry and Commerce and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Shanghai city.

The sides discussed issues of developing trade-economic cooperation. Representatives of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tashkent city presented information on the activity of chamber and preferences for developing private and small businesses.

After the negotiations, the agreement on mutual cooperation between Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tashkent and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Shanghai was signed.
