The sides discussed the expansion of the tourist flow between Uzbekistan and Turkey.

The Turkish side expressed interest in establishing mutually beneficial cooperation to develop and promote the tourist potential between the regions of Uzbekistan and Izmir. In particular, Mr. Aziz Kocaoglu was invited to work out the issues of attracting Turkish investors to the republic for construction of hotels in the cities of Bukhara, Samarkand and Khiva.

During the meeting, the leadership of the mayor’s office of Izmir was also offered to implement a number of measures to promote the tourist potential by carrying out social advertising campaigns in the cities of Uzbekistan and Izmir.

Also, the sides agreed on possibility of advertising on promotion of the tourist potential of Uzbekistan on the billboards of the central streets of Izmir, on a parity basis, placing advertisement of Izmir on billboards on the roads and streets of the cities of Uzbekistan.

In order to familiarize with the opportunities for implementation of tourism business in Uzbekistan, the parties agree to organize a study tour to Uzbekistan for Turkish businessmen and representatives of local authorities in Izmir.
