The meeting was held within the framework of participation of the delegation of Uzbekistan in the work of the global tourism forum and exhibition JATA EXPO-2017.
The parties agreed on participation of Uzbek tour operators in annual ANTA exhibitions in various regions of Japan to represent the tourism potential of Uzbekistan.
Representatives of ANTA also proposed to consider possibility of opening direct flights, along with the existing Tokyo-Tashkent, between other major cities of Japan to the tourist centers of Uzbekistan.
In turn, the Uzbek side noted that the opening of new flights depends on growth of the tourist flow between the two countries, accentuating the Japanese side’s attention to the measures taken by the Government of Uzbekistan to accelerate the development of tourism in Uzbekistan.
The Japanese side was informed about adopted programs for development of tourism in various regions of Uzbekistan, diversification of tourist destinations, creation of conditions for the development of guest houses in rural areas,
The Uzbek side was invited to consider the possibility of organizing business meetings in the B2B format for representatives of the tourism industry of the two countries with the aim of increasing the mutual tourist flow.
Special attention was paid to possibility of offering by Uzbek tourist companies such tourist destinations as ecotourism, pilgrimage to Buddhist monuments in Surkhandarya, accommodation in guest houses for closer acquaintance with national life, and gastronomic tourism.
