The sides exchanged views on bilateral relations between the higher legislative bodies of the two countries. The guests were familiarized with the activity of a bicameral parliament in Uzbekistan, too.

The Delegation of Switzerland also held talks with the Speaker of Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Dilorom Tashmuhamedova, UzA reported.

“Located in the heart of the Silk Road, Uzbekistan is one of the leading countries of Central Asia,” said Eugene David. “The negotiations in the Oliy Majlis will further develop our cooperation in the parliamentary system. We are interested in further strengthening the mutually beneficial cooperation and friendly relations between our countries.”

The members of the Swiss delegation then visited a number of ministries and departments and exchanged views on bilateral cooperation.
