Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade of Uzbekistan said that some 657 agreements for US$39.7 million and 345 protocols of intention for US$40.3 million were signed within the exhibition.

In line with the preliminary estimates, the signed documents will be financed due to loans of commercial banks (782 documents for 70 billion soums), own resources of small and private businesses (171 documents for 7.2 billion soums) and leasing (49 documents for 2.8 billion soums).

According to MFERIT, entrepreneurs signed 43 documents for 4.4 billion soums to purchase equipment for processing fruits and vegetables, 165 documents for 10.5 billion soums to purchase equipment for production of bread products.

They also signed 72 documents for 5.1 billion soums were inked to purchase equipment for production of macaroni products, 51 documents for 5 billion soums to organize flour-griniding capacities, 89 documents worth 5.2 billion soums to development of poultry, 76 documents for 6.9 billion soums to development of mil processing.

Businesses also signed 30 agreements for 3.2 billion soums to purchase meat processing equipment, 54 agreements for 2.9 billion soums to buy equipment for production of confectionery goods.

Within the exhibition, the agreements to purchase refrigerators (69 documents for 9.1 billion soums), packing equipment (5 documents for 610.4 million soums), equipment for organization of greenhouses (79 documents for 5.1 billion soums) were signed. About 27 documents for 162.1 million soums were signed in the sector of chemical protection of plants.

The Eight International Specialized Exhibition-Fair of mini-technologies and compact equipment Uzbekistan Agrominitech Ехро-2012 was held in Tashkent on 28-31 May 2012.

Over 100 companies from 22 countries participated at the exhibition. Among them were companies from Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Israel, Japan, China, and others.
