Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
An agreement on establishing a Central Asian regional information coordination centre on the fight against the illicit circulation of narcotic, psychotropic substances and their precursors (CARICC) has taken effect, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry’s press service reports.
According to the press service’s announcement, the agreement was signed by the presidents of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
CARICC has an international status under the UN’s aegis.
