Jahon news agency reported that representatives of the Japan-Uzbekistan Friendship Association, International Friendship Association and Council of Culture exchange of Chiba Prefecture, scholars, public activists and the journalists participated at the events.
The exhibition presented the Japanese public with samples of traditional national clothes from adras and han-atlas, syuzane, works of artisans and other folk applied art. The brochures about economic and tourism potential of Uzbekistan, as well as on implementation of the state programme “The Year of well-being and prosperity” were disseminated among the participants.
The presentation provided information on rich cultural-humanitarian heritage, tourism sights of Uzbekistan, ongoing social-economic and democratic reforms.
Head of International Center of Urayasu Riko Fujimatsu highly rated works of the Uzbek artisans, works of who were presented at the event. She said that she was impressed with Uzbekistan and plans to visit the country to familiarize with culture and art.
