Day of Uzbek Cinema to be held in Bashortostan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Day of Uzbek Cinema will be held within the Second International Festival of National and Ethnic Cinema Serebryaniy Akbuzat, which will be held in Ufa (Bashortostan) on 9-12 December.

The festival is aimed at promoting spiritual and cultural values of people of the world and activities of directors, who create national and ethnic films.

The festival received 258 applications from various countries. Some 25 films from Russia, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Latvia, Bangladesh, Iran, Azerbaijan, Egypt and Estonia were selected to the festival.

Within the event, it is planned to organize special demonstration of the films, made in the SCO area. The festival is organized within the Eurasian Humanistic Forum.
