Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the International Cultural and Educational Forum "Children of the Commonwealth", Uzbekistan hosted the Day of Kazakhstan on 25 June. The Kazakh delegation introduced peers from other countries to the traditions and customs of their country. This was reported by the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

The presentation of Kazakhstan began with the national anthem and poems about the Motherland. Dishes of Kazakh cuisine were prepared for the members of the forum: kazy, karta, bauyrsaki, koumiss. A defile of Kazakh folk costumes took place. The concert program, which was joined by all the other delegations, included songs, dances and traditional games. Schoolchildren of Kazakhstan organized an exhibition where paintings and handmade items were presented.

Also on this day, the guys visited the Astrum IT Academy, where they were told about education and professions in the field of information technology. In the evening, a creative competition of wall newspapers took place.

The Eighth International Cultural and Educational Forum of the CIS Member States "Children of the Commonwealth" is being held in Uzbekistan from 21 to 30 June.

The forum is organized by the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the support of the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the States Members of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
