Davis Cup: Uzbekistan welcomes India in Namangan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 April 2012, Namangan city will host matches of the second round of Group One of the Asian/Pacific Zone between Uzbekistan and India. The winner will receive right to play in World Cup play-offs.

Uzbekistan, which plays for 19th season in Davis Cup, reached World Cup play-offs in five occasions. Uzbekistan started this season Davis Cup in New Zealand. Petr Lebed claimed 3-2 victory in the ties.

Now Uzbekistan will entertain India in Namangan. India has been playing in Davis Cup since 1921 and played 13 seasons in World Cup. Currently, India in on 20th place in ITF rating compared to 22nd place of Uzbekistan.

Captain Petr Lebed invited Denis Istomin, Farrukh Dustov, Murad Inoyatov and Sarvar Ikramov to Uzbekistan team.

India will be represented by Yuki Bhambri, Sanam Singh, Leander Paes, Rohan Bopanna. Shiv Misra is the captain of the team.
