Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Former Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan, head of Turkestan region Darkhan Satybaldy proposed launching air service between the cities of Turkestan, Samarkand and Ferghana.

Darkhan Satybaldy voiced his proposals for the development of Uzbek-Kazakh relations during the Uzbek-Kazakh business forum.

Darkhan Satybaldy proposed to launch air communication between the cities of Turkestan, Samarkand and Ferghana, which will increase the tourist flow and give impetus to the development of pilgrimage tourism in both states.

According to him, thanks to mutual cooperation, the trade turnover between the Turkestan region and Uzbekistan for 10 months of 2022 amounted to US$366 million, including Kazakhstan’s exports - US$172 million and imports - US$194 million. It is worth noting that in comparison with last year, trade increased by more than 30%, Darkhan Satybaldy said.
