Daimler gets bus order from Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
German carmaker Daimler AG (FRA:DAI) said Wednesday it has won an order for the delivery of 200 urban buses of the Mercedes-Benz brand.
The buses will be sent to Uzbekistan’s Tashkent metropolis from Daimler’s production plant in Hosdere, Turkey.
Daimler did not disclose any financial details of the contract.
This is the third order from Uzbekistan to Daimler’s EvoBus GmbH subsidiary. The country had already ordered buses in 2003 and 2008.
