Daewoo Energy Central Asia to conduct exploration works in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Daewoo Energy Central Asia LLC will start exploration works at two investment blocks in n Uzbekistan in 2011.

Daewoo Energy Central Asia, subsidiary of South Korea’s Daewoo International Corp., announced tender on selection of contractor to conduct programme of prospect drilling at Koskudyk and Ashibulak investment blocks at Ustyur oil and gas region.

In line with tender term, interested companies should present tender proposals till 29 November 2010. The tender results will be summed up in the end of 2010.

Uzbekneftegaz national holding company and Daewoo International signed agreement on exploration of these investment blocks within five years in February 2008. The Korean company undertook obligation to invest US$40 million to exploration of these blocks, including US$27.6 million within three years. The agreement entered into force in December 2008.
