During the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, she discussed actual issues related to Afghanistan and Pakistan with the Uzbek officials.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Oybek Usmanov briefed her with position of Uzbekistan on Afghanistan and perspectives of further potential opportunities in social-economic development of Uzbekistan and stability and security in Central Asia.

Ester Lauferová affirmed interest of the Czech Republic on regional cooperation with the Central Asian states and expressed gratitude for construction of the first railway in Afghanistan. The sides also exchanged opinion on bilateral cooperation between two states.

On 22 March, she also participated at solemn ceremony dedicated to Navruz, where she met the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov and some envoys of the European Union states.
