Economy 02/07/2009 Czech Airlines starts to fly to Uzbek capital

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Czech Airlines launched a regular flight between Tashkent and Prague on 1 July 2009.

As earlier reported, the airline was planning to launch flight between capital cities of two countries on 21 June 2009, but it was delayed due to technical problems.

The flights will be carried out twice a week on А319 airplane with 130 seats. The airline plans to increase transportation level to 10,000 passengers by the end of 2009. The flights will be carried out on Mondays and Thursdays.

During the winter navigation, Czech Airlines plans to increase number of flights to Uzbekistan due to transit route through Almaty (Prague-Almaty-Tashkent).

Czech Airlines was founded on 6 October 1923. Its passengers fly to over 105 destinations in 45 states, or the airline covers all European capitals plus Nye York and Toronto.

The airline is member of SkyTeam alliance. Czech Airlines has modern airplanes fleet. The company flies to Astana, Almaty, Bishkek and Tashkent in Central Asian region.
