Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 20 January 2025, the President of Uzbekistan signed a resolution establishing Cyber University, a new state university.

The primary mission of the university will be to train highly qualified specialists in priority fields such as information and cybersecurity, digital technologies, the digital economy, robotics, and the development of automated information-analytical systems utilizing artificial intelligence.

Special emphasis will be placed on the retraining and professional development of specialists in digital technologies.

The education process will incorporate advanced international practices, modern teaching methodologies, and technologies, creating an open informational and educational environment.

Cyber University aims to foster the professional development of young people by offering them additional opportunities for learning and growth. It will also contribute to the recruitment of skilled professionals for government agencies, enterprises, and other organizations.

To achieve its goals, Cyber University plans to actively collaborate with leading universities and research centers in Uzbekistan and abroad, as well as with developers and users of digital technologies. These partnerships will support joint educational and scientific projects, including fundamental, scientific, and applied research.

Additionally, the university will focus on creating educational and methodological materials covering various areas of digital education. Its scientific activities will involve active participation from students and specialists, ensuring a comprehensive approach to preparing professionals in digital technologies.
