Culture Day of Uzbekistan takes place in Tsukuba
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- International Center of Tsukuba hosted a Culture Day of Uzbekistan, which was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan in cooperation with the University of Tsukuba, Jahon news agency reported.

The report said that representatives of public-political and scientific-academic circles of Japan participated at the event, which provided them with information on social-economic development and cultural-humanitarian heritage of the Uzbek people, as well as tourism potential of Uzbekistan.

At the opening ceremony, it was noted that currently the relations between Uzbekistan and Japan is developing actibely, including in cultural-humanitarian sphere.

The guests of the event also familiarized with traditional clothes of Uzbek people and products of craftsmen.

Deputy mayor of Tsukuba city Hisashi Okada said that the presented information helped the guests to find out about rich culture of the Uzbek people. He said that the visitors were impressed with monuments in Samarkand and Bukhara, which was included to the List of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Okada said that such presentation serve for further deepening the relations between two nations and people.
