For his part, Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan the exercise has a strategic importance for maintenance of regional and international stability. “During the maneuvers, united force will synchronize operations in local wars and armed conflicts. Joining our efforts, we can resist challenges,” the Minister said.

The CSTO includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Armenia is currently holding chairmanship in the organization.
