Uzbekistan 18/08/2009 CSTO calls UN to strengthen bilateral cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) called the UN General Assembly to adopt resolution on cooperation between two organizations.

Russia called the UN to include issue “Cooperation between the UN and the CSTO” to agenda of the 64th session of the UN General Assembly.

Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is military block of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

The letter called to deepen relations between two organizations to achieve more effective cooperation and interaction. The CSTO called to adopt corresponding resolution, which would strengthen collaboration of two organizations, expand mutual assistance in ensuring peace, security and cooperation in regional and global scales.
