Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — CSKA Moscow has decided to increase the salary of Uzbekistan national team midfielder Abbos Fayzullayev, despite not extending his contract.
Club CEO Kirill Babaev explained that the salary increase is due to Fayzullayev’s strong performances and his contribution to the team’s success.
"We decided to raise Abbos’s salary because his actions on the field and his commitment deserve recognition. This decision is not related to extending his contract but is solely based on his current achievements," Babaev said.
However, Babaev did not disclose the exact amount of the salary increase for Uzbekistan's 2024 Footballer of the Year.
He also mentioned that CSKA has not received any transfer inquiries for the player from other clubs.
Fayzullayev moved to CSKA from Pakhtakor in the summer of 2023 for €500,000, signing a "3+1" contract. In the current season, the 21-year-old player has appeared in 23 matches for the army club, scoring 3 goals and providing 6 assists.
