The visit was aimed at discussing perspectives of development of scientific-technical cooperation between the Committee on coordination on development of science and technology under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan and CRDF Global.

CRDF Global delegation held several meetings at the Committee on coordination on development of science and technology to discuss issues on further developing cooperation in science and technology.

Cathy Campbell also visited the Institute of Genetics and Experimental Biology of plants of Uzbekistan Science Academy, laboratory of applied biochemistry, which cooperates with CRDF Global, and Center of Genomic Technologies.

During the meetings, the sides discussed issues of organization of joint events, including research competitions in renewable energy, etc. They also discussed use of Virtual Scientific Library of CRDF Global.

The sides considered issues related to innovation and expansion of medical products based on local biological active goods.

During the visit, the Committee on coordination on development of science and technology under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan and CRDF Global signed the agreement of cooperation.
