Court starts to consider criminal case against “Bakhtiyar Tashkentskiy”

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- On 3 June, a criminal trial against Bakhtiyor Kudratullayev, known as "Bakhtiyar Tashkentskiy", who faces charges under 10 articles of the Criminal Code, will commence in Tashkent. This was announced by Aziz Abidov, the press secretary of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan. 

Additionally, 37 individuals, including Bakhtiyor Kudratullayev’s brother, Shukhrat Kudratullayev, and his son Ikhtiyor Kudratullayev, are also facing charges of extortion, fraud, and other crimes. The criminal case will be heard by the Shaykhantakhur District Court for Criminal Cases. All suspects were apprehended during raids against criminal groups in November-December 2023.

The trial will be conducted openly in the premises of the Yunusabad District Court under the chairmanship of Judge Tolibjon Obidov.

Among the accused are Avaz Mashrafkhanov, Sanjar Khatamov, Jamshid Soliev, Dilshod Sharipov, Shukurali Kurbanov, Otabek Islamov, Nemat Bagadyrov, Anvar Mirzakhonov, Davlatkhudja Muminkhujaev, Muitdin Shodmanov, Valijon Kurbanov, Asadullo Jurayev, Akmaljon Tursunboev, Andrey Shchelyov, Abboskhon Khodjaev, Bekzod Zafarov, Matlub Nasyrkhojaev, Mahmudjon Usmonboev, Bunyod Narmirzaev, Fayziddin Kamalov, Akmalbek Norkulov, Toir Turmonov, Matlub Mirzoyev, Shakhriyor Rakhimov, Azizjon Aliyev, Makhmadjon Kurbanov, Ramses Shakurov, Feruz Vapaev, Bakhtiyor Khudayarov, Alimardon Makhmadiyev, Sherali Sulaimonkulov, Bakhtiyor Bakaev, Muradbek Ibadullayev, and Nargiza Jumaniazova.

The majority are accused of extortion. 36 of them are remanded in custody, while one is on bail. There are 46 victims and plaintiffs involved in the case.
