The committee noted that energy and oil products attained 20.6% (14.2% in January-September 2006) of overall exports of the country in January-September 2007.
Largest export items of Uzbekistan in nine months of 2007 were ferrous and non-ferrous metals (12.9% of total export), machinery and equipment (10.8%), services (11.3%) and food products (8.1%) in the reporting period.
At the same time, the country mainly imported machinery and equipment (46.1% of total imports), chemical products (14.4%), foodstuff (7.4%), ferrous and non-ferrous metals (8.3%), energy and oil products (5%).
As earlier reported, foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan made up US$10.097 billion in January-September 2007, of which US$6.197 fell to share of exports of Uzbekistan.
