Costa Congratulates Mirziyoyev on Independence Day and Announces Meeting in Brussels

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In his congratulatory message to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the occasion of Uzbekistan’s 34th Independence Day, European Council President António Costa highlighted the development of bilateral cooperation and announced a forthcoming meeting in Brussels on 24 October.

“Our partnership has undoubtedly reached a new level, characterized by fruitful and multifaceted cooperation across all sectors, thanks in large part to your leadership,” Costa emphasized.

He added that in Brussels he plans to discuss with Mirziyoyev matters related to the signing of the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the European Union and Uzbekistan.
