Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the initiative of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a meeting was held in the format of a videoconference between representatives of the Ministries of Transport and the railway industry of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Turkey. During the meeting, important issues aimed at accelerating the processes related to the signing of the agreement on the creation of the international transport corridor "China – Kazakhstan – Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan – Iran– Turkey – Europe" were discussed. Aspects related to the development of international transportation and transit routes between states were also considered.

The parties noted that the development of the international transport corridor "China – Kazakhstan – Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan – Iran – Turkey – Europe" is mutually beneficial for all parties and will open up new opportunities for the development of transit traffic and trade relations between the countries.

Since the purpose of this historical cooperation is to develop trade in the region, increase the volume of international cargo transportation, transit traffic and increase revenue from them. Within the framework of the areas of cooperation discussed at the meeting, the parties identified tasks to be performed in the future.

Efforts to form new alternative transport corridors are important because they are aimed at achieving the goals of deepening the integration of the Republic of Uzbekistan into the global transport and logistics networks and increasing the potential of the national transport system, defined in the strategy "Uzbekistan – 2030".
