Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 30 January to 2 February, a delegation of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), including the Director of the European and North Atlantic Bureau Nicholas Rallo and the head of the Air Navigation Bureau at headquarters Marco Mehrens, visited Uzbekistan to discuss issues developing a program for introducing ICAO standards into the country’s legislation.

As part of the visit, the delegation met with the Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Ilhom Makhkamov.

At the meeting, a Management Services Agreement was signed between ICAO and the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan.

This step is intended to establish a formal basis for the transition to a higher level of relations between Uzbekistan and ICAO, as well as to develop a technical cooperation program.

In accordance with this agreement, projects will be implemented aimed at developing areas such as safety oversight, implementation of a safety management system, civil aviation operations, accident and incident investigation.
