Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 28 January, a meeting was held between the leadership of the Institute for the Development of Vocational Education of Uzbekistan and the German company AVESTOS GmbH.
During the discussions, the results of the forum held in Tashkent, Bukhara, and the Fergana region were reviewed, and directions for future cooperation were defined.
The parties reached a number of agreements on the development of vocational education in Uzbekistan. Specifically, 25 professions from Germany were studied, of which 10 were selected as priority areas.
Plans are in place to develop international educational programs and instructional materials for these professions. In addition, an agreement was reached to implement the German dual vocational education system in 2025 in the Koson, Muborak, and Chirakchi districts of the Kashkadarya region.
Furthermore, the Managing Director of AVESTOS GmbH, Ms. Antje Strauch, conducted a seminar for the leadership and specialists of the Institute on the implementation of international educational programs.
At the end of the meeting, a memorandum was signed to expand cooperation in vocational education. According to the document, an analysis of the activities of vocational education institutions in Uzbekistan will be conducted, international programs for in-demand professions will be introduced, and professional development courses will be organized for managers and educators of vocational institutions.
As noted, this cooperation aims to develop Uzbekistan’s vocational education system based on international standards.
