Cooperation between the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 13 July this year, within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan, a delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Dilshod Sultanov, visited the Republic of Tajikistan.

This memorandum was signed on September 29-30, 2021 within the framework of the Economic Forum "Uzbekistan: Results and prospects of economic reforms".

This visit is aimed at ensuring the implementation of the measures provided for in the Action Plan of interaction on the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan. 

During the meeting at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan, in their opening speeches, the Deputy Finance Ministers of the two countries noted that thanks to the friendly relations of the two Presidents of our countries, comprehensive and comprehensive development of relations is ensured. A striking example is the exchange of experience between the Ministries of Finance of the two countries.

During the meeting, the experience of the two countries on: 

• Implementation of fiscal policy;

• Capital market development;

• Attraction of borrowings for the implementation of investment projects;

• Financing of the social sphere;

• Treasury execution of the budget system.

In addition, the delegation got acquainted with the activities of the Tajik State University of Finance and Economics and the Research Institute.

The Uzbek side proposed to organize meetings in narrow areas in the future to discuss the progress of their implementation in each of the countries and determine the best solutions to existing problems.

These events will bring relations between the two countries' ministries to a new level.
