Cabinet of Ministered approved a resolution, which is directed at increasing responsibility of gas suppliers for non-execution of their liabilities in line with the agreements on supply of as to businesses for their production needs.

The document introduced amendments to the Rules of gas supplies to consumers from 2011. According to amendments, the suppliers, gas transport organization and their territorial enterprises will compensate damage and lost profits due to non-delivery of gas.

The resolution also introduced changes to the Regulation on order of payments between gas consumers and gas supply organizations from 2005.

In line with the changes, the supplier or gas supplying organization will compensate real damage and lost profits, which arose due to non-delivery of gas.
