Construction Work in Uzbekistan Exceeds 162 Trillion Soums in January–July 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In January–July 2025, the total volume of construction work carried out in the Republic of Uzbekistan reached 162,947.7 billion soums, representing 110.7% compared to the same period of last year.
The majority of construction activity was focused on the erection of buildings and structures, accounting for 68.7% of the total, which corresponds to 102.9% of the 2024 level. Construction of civil facilities made up 20.9% of the total, showing growth to 125.2%, while specialized construction work accounted for 10.4% and increased by 50.1% compared to the previous year.
Large construction companies completed projects worth 36,199.0 billion soums during the reporting period. Compared to January–July 2024, their volume grew by 13.7%, and their share of total construction activity rose by 0.7 percentage points to reach 22.2%.
Small enterprises and microfirms were responsible for 52.6% of all construction work, with a total volume of 85,727.4 billion soums, 9.2% higher than the previous year.
The highest growth rates for construction work carried out by large organizations were recorded in Andijan region (230.9% of the 2024 level), Jizzakh region (171.2%), and Syrdarya region (169.5%).
In the informal sector, construction work totaled 41,021.2 billion soums, accounting for 25.2% of the overall volume. Compared to the same period last year, this indicator increased by 11.2%.
