Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Within the framework of an investment project, construction continues at Talimarjan Thermal Power Plant on Steam Gas Units No. 4-5 with a total capacity of 1065 MW.

The general contractors for the project are the Spanish company Intecsa Ingeniera Industrial S.A. and the Japanese company Mitsubishi Corporation. Construction works also involve specialists from the Turkish company Çalik Enerji.

Upon commissioning of these steam gas units, which are planned to be connected to the Unified Energy System in 2025, the station will generate an additional 8.5 billion kWh of electricity annually. The use of highly efficient technologies is expected to save 600 million cubic meters of natural gas per year.

Currently, all reinforcement and concrete works related to the foundations of the steam gas turbines have been completed.

It is noteworthy that the construction works have engaged 1,684 specialists, including 1,500 local workers.
