Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The project "Construction of a Solar Power Plant" has commenced in Tashkent region, Uzbekistan.
The khokim (governor) of the Buka District, Bakhtiyor Begmatov, and the chairman of China DaTang Corporation, Zhou Lei, visited the project site.
During the visit, the delegation reviewed the current status of the project, discussed its progress, expected outcomes, and plans for further cooperation.
The solar power plant, with a capacity of 263 megawatts, is under construction.
According to a presidential decree, Chinese investors plan to build the solar power plant on the territory of the "Buka" mahalla (community) in the Buka District, covering an area of 621 hectares.
The project is estimated at US$150 million (direct investment), including the construction of overhead power lines.
The project will be implemented by the Chinese company China DaTang Overseas Investment.
