Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Turkey is actively applying the method of “congress tourism”, which at the same time allows attracting tourists to our country, establishing cooperation between specialized organizations of foreign countries and Uzbekistan, as well as spreading it among wide sections of the foreign public information on the fundamental reforms being carried out in the republic.

In particular, another project of a similar nature is scheduled for 14-19 November. It will be organized jointly with the Union of Architectural Engineers of the Turkic World (TDMMB), which invested US$250 thousand for this project, which envisages a business forum in the field of construction in Tashkent and the International Festival of Architectural and Construction and Design Schools of Eurasia in Samarkand with the participation of over 200 delegates from over 20 countries.

The International Festival of Architectural and Construction and Design Schools of Eurasia has been held since 2009 and has become a traditional event that annually brings together professional architects, designers and builders. Within the framework of the forum, business meetings, presentations of prominent architectural projects, as well as an international graduation competition of students and undergraduates in the field of construction engineering and architecture are held.

At the festival, students of the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering of reputable universities of Eurasia will present their projects. Representatives of the participating countries will also be determined, who will later take part in organizing the International Olympiad of projects “Memor Sinan”.

The decision to hold the Olympiad was made at the Congress of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Turkic peoples.

The goals and objectives of the event are the formation of a venue for meetings and negotiations between representatives of building engineering and architecture, the development of "people's diplomacy", scientific, academic and business relations between the participants of the festival, familiarizing the public with the practical achievements of modern building engineering and architecture, sharing experience and so on.

The main sponsors of the event are TDMMB, the Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination (TIKA), the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), the Union of Municipalities of the Turkic World and others.

The organization of this event in Uzbekistan was facilitated by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Construction, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, khokimiyats of Tashkent and Samarkand region, as well as the Samarkand State Institute of Architecture.
