It is organized by Austrian Association Competizione dell’Opera, Ministry of Culture and Sport Affairs of Uzbekistan, Uzbekteatr and State Academic Bolshoi Theatre named after Alisher Navoi.

Young opera singers from Europe, Russia, South America, Australia and Asia, who passed preliminary casting, will participate in the contest.

On 23 November, a qualification round of the contest was held at Republic Specialized Musical Academic Lyceum named after V. Uspensky. About 40 singers from Uzbekistan participated in the qualification round.

The semifinals and final of the contest will be held at Turkiston Palace on from 25 to 27 November 2014.
