Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Committee for Competition Development and Consumer Protection of Uzbekistan has imposed financial penalties on Hamkor Reklama Servis for advertising bookmaking services.

According to the authorities, inspections revealed that advertisements for the bookmaker brand 1XBET were placed on outdoor advertising structures in the Yunusabad and Mirzo Ulugbek districts of Tashkent.

Under Article 46 of the Law "On Advertising," the promotion of gambling and other risk-based games, including the use of telecommunications networks and the internet, is prohibited.

A special commission initiated proceedings against Hamkor Reklama Servis for violating this regulation.

The company was issued the maximum financial fine allowed under the Committee's authority.

Additionally, all collected documents have been handed over to the prosecutor's office for further legal action.
