Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Companies from Uzbekistan can take part in the international exhibition of Halal products “MIHAS – 2024”.

According to the representative of the Malaysian External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), Mr. Ulugbek Aslanov said that in 2023, the total volume of Malaysia’s trade with Uzbekistan was US$93.6 million.

There are currently huge opportunities to expand trade between the two countries, especially in the Halal sector, he added. He also said that: “Since the Republic of Uzbekistan has currently begun a comprehensive and large-scale modernization of the Halal sector, we hope to further strengthen our cooperation to achieve mutually beneficial results in this area.

“The representative office of the Malaysian Foreign Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) in Tashkent would like to take this opportunity to invite companies from Uzbekistan to participate in the 20th International Halal Products Exhibition (MIHAS), the leading business platform for the Halal industry,” he said.

This event is organized by the Malaysian Foreign Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) with the support of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry.

The event will focus on showcasing 12 key verticals representing the growing Halal market around the world: food and beverage, manufacturing technology, education, pharmaceuticals, services and tools, Muslim fashion, franchises, media and entertainment, Muslim tourism, e-commerce, Islamic finance, cosmetics and personal care products.

Since its inception in 2004, MIHAS has attracted more than 8,200 exhibitors from 44 countries; as well as more than 400,000 visitors from 88 countries.
