Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Committee for Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights has initiated an investigation into Bukhara Territorial Electric Networks and several textile clusters.

According to the Committee’s press service, the Bahouddin Naqshband Memorial Complex lodged a complaint with the local branch of the organization regarding an incorrectly calculated tariff and an additional electricity bill of 115 million soums issued by Bukhara Electric Netwo Bukhara Territorial Electric Networks rks.

Additionally, it was reported that in the first half of this year, the Committee identified unjustified income totaling 20 billion soums among the textile clusters. As a result, cases were initiated for violations of the Law "On Competition."

Offending enterprises were found in 11 regions of Uzbekistan and were accused of several violations, including failing to list goods on the exchange within the established time frame or listing insufficient quantities, as well as failing to publish information on the official exchange website in a timely manner.

Moreover, the clusters were also accused of sending products under forward contracts less than a month in advance, selling based on direct contracts, and engaging in unfair competition.
