Commerce Chamber, Slovak aid present their joint project
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and Slovak Aid, Slovakia’s development fund, presented their joint international project on "Development of national potential in introduction of ecological and security management systems in food industry of Uzbekistan".
The project is aimed at assisting industrial enterprises in increasing their potential in management through number of theoretical trainings and practical implantation of ecological management system in line with ISO 14001:2004 standard and food security management in compliance with ISO 22000:2005. Currently, this project was implemented at 5 pilot enterprises of Uzbekistan.
Astraia Certification, Slovak certification body, and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan executed project.
Alisher Shaihov, Chairperson of Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce, said the enterprises, which participated in the project, received chance to certify introduced integrated systems in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000 standards. Such certification opens new perspectives for domestic enterprises to enter the international markets and raise their competitiveness and cut expenses.
