The new agreement would serve as a supplement to the agreement signed between the two sides in October last year on joint exploration and development of the Mingulak oilfield in Uzbekistan.

CNPC also said its subsidiary China National Oil and Gas Exploration and Development signed a frame agreement with Uzbekndftegaz on setting up a joint venture to jointly develop another block. But details were not disclosed.
