Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the eve of the 14th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals CMSCOP14, high-level foreign delegations begin to arrive in Uzbekistan.

One of the first to attend the UN global event in Samarkand from 12 to 17 February was CMS Executive Secretary Amy Frenkel.

At the Samarkand airport, the distinguished guest was met by First Deputy Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change Obidjon Kudratov.

Amy Frenkel has 30 years of experience in the field of international environmental law and policy. She has held senior positions in several UN agencies and the legislative and executive branches of the US government.
