Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Citizens of Uzbekistan can now stay in Azerbaijan without registration for 15 days. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan.

This change is due to the entry into force of the Protocol on amendments and additions to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on visa-free travel for citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan, signed on 18 June 1997.

The protocol was signed on 22 August 2023 in the city of Baku (Azerbaijan) and entered into force on 15 January 2024.

This document envisages a new procedure for entry and exit, transit and temporary stay on the territory of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan for 15 days without the need to obtain permission and temporary registration with the relevant government authorities.
