Citizens of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to be able to stay in the territory of the two countries for 30 days without registration

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Citizens of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan can now stay in the territory of both countries for up to 30 days without registration.

Today, the Mazhilis of Kazakhstan approved the ratification of the Protocol amending the intergovernmental Agreement between the two states on the conditions of mutual travel of citizens, signed on 7 July 2000.

According to the new rules, citizens of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan can stay in the neighboring country for up to 30 days without registration. Previously, citizens could stay in a neighboring country for up to 5 days.

The protocol was signed on 22 December 2022 in the city of Tashkent as part of the visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan.

Its ratification will create favorable conditions for the stay of citizens of both countries on each other’s territory, promoting the development of economic ties, business and cultural exchange between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

It should be noted that on 26 April 2023, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved a protocol on amending the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the conditions of mutual trips of citizens.
