Cisco Academy opens at Tashkent College of Information Technologies
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Cisco and the Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information (UzACI) launched Cisco Academy at Tashkent Professional College of Information Technologies. This is the first academy on the base of professional educational establishment.

Cisco Academy will train students on such courses as IT Essentials and Cisco Certified Network Associate. The project will allow to lift teaching IT discipline in Uzbek college to new quality level and bring education to international standards and requirements of industrial certification, as well as improve professional skills of graduates.

Ten teachers of the college undergo training on IT Essentials course and received right to give lessons on this course.

Methodical and educational complex, developed at Tashkent Professional College of Information Technologies, will serve as basics for teaching IT disciplines at secondary special professional educational establishments of Uzbekistan.

Agrepina Shin, director of the college, said that participation at Cisco Academy is good opportunity to access modern knowledge in ICT sector. This will to train modern competitive specialists, she added.

Currently, there are four Cisco Academies in Uzbekistan. Some 264 students study at these academies, where nine instructors work.
