Among participants are youth from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Moldova, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Georgia.
Kyrgyz Vice-Premier Uktomkhan Abdullayeva and Russian president’s envoy for international cultural cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoi opened the forum.
Young delegates will focus on tolerance and the formation of the CIS positive image, heritage of the CIS nations and the development of youth cultural exchange and information youth space in modern conditions.
The main goal of a three-day forum is to draft a complex of legal and organization measures to strengthen mutual understanding and friendship among CIS youth.
The forum is dedicated to the memory of famous Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov. It is organized within the framework of the Year of Youth on the CIS space at the initiative of the Kyrgyz Culture Ministry and under support of the CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund.
