Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States intend to develop cooperation in the field of combating fraud (fraud) in telecommunication networks. The corresponding memorandum was signed at a meeting of the Council of Heads of Governments, which took place on 8 June in Sochi.
The term "fraud" refers to a type of fraud in the field of information technology, associated with unauthorized actions and unauthorized use of resources and services in communication networks, the press service of the CIS Executive Committee reports.
The signed memorandum envisages the creation of conditions for combating fraud (fraud) on telecommunication networks, toughening administrative and criminal liability for such crimes, cooperation and exchange of positive experience on the mechanisms used to prevent them, creating conditions for sustainable operation and effective development of the market for international telecommunication services in the interests of end users. consumers and protection of the economic interests of telecommunication operators, harmonization of national legislation in the field of security on telecommunication networks.
