CIS Railway Administrations hold session
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Fiftieth session of the Council on railway transport of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) signed an agreement on economic responsibility for violation of schedule of passenger transportation on interstate railways.

Representatives of railway administrations from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldavia, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Latvia, Finland, Lithuania, Estonia, International Confederation of Railway and Transport Constructors Trade Unions, CIS Executive Committee and Integration Committee of EurAsEC participated at the event.

The session considered over 20 issues. The Council discussed implementation of decisions of the previous session, programme on realization of priority directions of cooperation of the CIS members in transport until 2020, current affairs of mutual payment settlements among railway administrations.

The signed agreement economic responsibility for violation of schedule envisages fine at the size of 200 Swiss franks for each 30 minutes of delay.
