Institute Uztyajneftegazhimproekt (Uzbek Heavy Oil and Gas Chemical Project) said that the German company won a tender with majority votes.

Within the project Christian Pfeiffer GmbH will supply technological equipment under “turnkey” basis within the project n reconstruction of cement milling shop and installation of two new cement mills with the capacity of 1 million tonnes a year.

The company also will carry out chief assembly of technological equipment, commission equipment to exploitation and train personnel.

The project is financed due to National Bank of Uzbekistan for Foreign Economic Affairs and own resources of Kyzylkumcement.

As earlier reported, Uztyajneftegazhimproekt announced open tender within the project in July 2010. The maximal price of full set of technological equipment within the project makes up US$125.07 million, the tender documentation said.

Kyzylkumcement open joint stock company was commissioned in 1977 and it is the largest cement plant in Uzbekistan. Its capacity is about 3.1 million tonnes of cement a year. The company increased cement production by 3.2% t 3.145 million tonnes in 2009. The enterprise exported 765,000 tonnes of cement in 2009. Last year, Kyzylkumcement recorded net income for 77.236 billion soums.
